Engineering Council of India (ECI), the prime institution to standardize and harmonize, in various major engineering disciplines, professional practices in India and competency standards of practicing professionals with their counterparts in other member countries of WTO, having among their founding members Planning Commission (Now Niti Aayog), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Board of Accreditation (NBA), Central Public Works Department (Ministry of Urban Development), Department of Commerce (Ministry of Commerce & Industry), Dept. of Secondary and Higher Education (Ministry of HRD), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research & several other Professional Institutions, has entered into an MoU with AICTE for providing "Internship" and has mandated CIDC to arrange these internships for the engineering and management students.
Based on this mandate, Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), established by the Planning Commission, Government of India & the construction Industry, is conducting a capacity building program for AICTE approved engineering colleges, and Universities, aimed at their Faculty & Student Development through Short & Long Term Training programs in all disciplines in Engineering & Management in accordance with the systems and procedures laid down by the Engineering Council of India (ECI). Program also aims at institutional upgrade of laboratories and related appurtenances. Planned training programs are structured to support easy availability of Internships to engineering students / assisting them in Industrial Visits / Industrial Projects etc.
With this notice CIDC invites expression of interests from the eligible Institutions imparting technical education for entering into MoU in line with the AICTE Requirements. In the current phase of the initiative, CIDC intends to enter into MoUs with 50 institutions on a pan India basis and the understandings would be entered with eligible institutions on a first-come-first-served basis.
Desirous Institutions may send their expressions of interest on the prescribed format (downloadable) for screening & short-listing.
The shortlisted organizations would be invited for a personal interview at the headquarters of the Council or for the online interview.
