CIDC's concerted efforts for "HOLISTIC HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE MARGINALISED SEGMENT OF INDIAN SOCIETY (HHRD)" have been appreciated and applauded by the international and national stakeholders resulting in conferment of the Golden Peacock National Training Award 2008 on Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC).
Instituted in 1991 by the Institute of Directors, the awards are bestowed annually for corporate excellence in quality, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, innovation, training, environment management, ecological leadership and business leadership. They have been designed to encourage total improvement in each sector of the Indian Economy.
The award was presented by Mr. Ola Ullsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden & Member of Golden Peacock Global Award Jury and Baroness Shreela Flather, Member House of Lords at a glittering ceremony in London on 19th September 2008 and received by the undersigned on behalf of entire CIDC family.
While no words would be enough to thank each one of you for the wonderful contributions you have made to this initiative, I look forward to your continued help cooperation and guidance for up-scaling our training initiatives to make a bigger impact on creating more skilled hands for the industry, and creating better job opportunities for the marginalized sections of our society.
