was established by the Planning Commission, Government of India, jointly with Construction Industry, as apex organization to take up programmes and activities aimed at developing and streamlining Indian Construction Industry. This year CIDC is organizing a two days and concurrently a three days starting from August 12-14, 2009 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
In recent past almost all sectors have shown many good examples of project conceptualization, planning and execution. It is therefore important to showcase them, and bring such achievements of successful projects, both at corporate & individual levels, in the forefront, to enable sharing of the innovative approaches, and methodologies adopted. At the same time it would be useful to prepare certain Case Studies of those projects where time and cost targets could not be achieved. The objective of the proposed Conclave is to focus on various themes through Technical Papers and selected Case Studies of major projects in different sub sectors, highlighting the pre-set targets, impediments and the solutions found to eliminate the same in different projects.
The two day National Conclave on Construction will focus on following sectors of Construction Industry.
- Roads & Highways, Construction
- Power Project Construction
- Housing & Building Construction
- Railway/Metro Construction
- Aviation Structures Construction
Concurrently, with this Conclave, a , to showcase, new products and equipment and visual display of major projects shall also be organized for the benefit of the constituents of Construction Industry. This event will further offer an opportunity to showcase innovative products, may these be the construction materials, equipments, tools or visual display of critical phases of execution of the projects for the benefit of the constituents of Construction Industry.
